General Guidelines

Advertising rates are priced on cost per thousand page views and vary based on property, targeted placement and quantity of page views per month.

• All insertion orders are subject to Aktiv Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Advertising.
• Aktiv Digital reserves the right to modify rates at any time.
• The minimum advertising buy is £5,000.

Creative Guidelines

All advertisements to be run on Aktiv Digital must meet the following creative guidelines:

• Advertisements cannot mislead the user. For example, Aktiv Digital will not accept advertisements that look or act like Windows dialogue boxes or error messages.
• Advertisements cannot resemble like Aktiv Digital content.
• Advertisements cannot contain graphics that simulate interactivity (i.e. drop-down menus, search boxes etc.) without that functionality actually existing.
• Advertisements cannot mimic news headlines in design, tone, 3rd person sentence structure, or topic.

Creative Guidelines for Advertising

The following guidelines relate to any advertising containing adult material:

• Advertisements may contain images of limited nudity, including partially disclosed buttocks and partially disclosed female breasts, subject to review and approval on a case by case basis. Advertisements may not contain images of genitalia, fully disclosed buttocks or fully disclosed female breasts, or words describing same.
• Advertisements cannot contain pictures or images of explicit or simulated sexual acts, or words describing same, but may contain pictures or images that are suggestive of sexual acts, subject to review and approval on a case by case basis. Advertisements cannot contain pictures or images of sodomy, bestiality or excretory functions, or words describing same.
• Any advertiser of adult services and goods must provide a mandatory "jump" page. This page appears after the user clicks on the advertiser's banner and before the user clicks to the advertiser's website.
• The same creative guidelines that apply to banner advertising apply to the mandatory jump page. In addition, that page must inform the user that he or she cannot enter the site unless he or she is of legal age.
• The advertiser must require users to actively select the link to move to the advertiser's website. The advertiser must also provide an exit link from the mandatory jump page that returns the user to www.aktivdigital.com

Aktiv Digital reserves the right to review, request modifications to, or reject any advertisement, at any time, at its sole discretion. For any queries regarding creative guidelines, contact traffic@aktivdigital.com

Submission Guidelines

• All advertising through Aktiv Digital begins with a signed Insertion Order and a Standard Terms and Conditions sheet.
• New advertisers should submit a signed Insertion Order, Standard Terms and Conditions, graphics, alternate text description, and URL's at least 5 days prior to insertion term.
• A maximum of six (6) pieces of creative may run at a time per Aktiv Digital insertion order. One piece of creative consists of one banner and its linking URL.
• Scheduling changes, new target URL's, and/or new graphics should be submitted at least four (4) working days prior to effective date.
• Aktiv Digital does not advertise tobacco products.
• Aktiv Digital does not allow 3rd party ad serving of HTML / JavaScript code. Approved Aktiv Digital 3rd party servers are only authorised to serve the alternate images and / or the click-through URLs.
• All advertisements will be reviewed by Aktiv Digital and are subject to approval by Aktiv Digital before placement.
• Aktiv Digital reserves the right to preserve the user experience, and reserves the right to remove any advertisement which is deemed annoying and / or harmful to users at any time.
